On a warm evening in June, staff, volunteers, donors, board members and community supporters gathered for our annual Volunteer Recognition Evening & Annual General Meeting.

We have so many to thank for this wonderful event, including:

  • Moser Landscape Group for sponsoring the location of our event at the beautiful Hacienda Sereda.
  • Juneyt Yetkiner for entertaining our guests with his music.
  • David Connolly, the Associate Artistic Director of Drayton Entertainment, for a wonderful keynote presentation.
  • And of course, we are so very thankful to our wonderful volunteers. Without you, we could not do what we do!

This year, for the first time ever, we had two volunteers reach 30 years of service. Thank you to Marlene Zister and Anne Winge for sharing your time, dedication and passion to Hospice Waterloo Region!

We also celebrated Tricia Wands as the recipient 2023 June Callwood Award for Outstanding Volunteerism in Hospice Palliative Care.
