Join us for this year’s Hike and Bike for Hospice of Waterloo Region!
Since 2008, Hike for Hospice has been an annual tradition that raises funds and awareness for Hospice Waterloo Region.
With the current COVID-19 situation, we have switched to a virtual at-home edition. The event will still take place, but in your own space and at your own pace — from now until Sunday, Sept. 20.
This is the perfect year to add cycling to our traditional hike event! Whether you enjoy a family bike ride around the neighbourhood or going for an afternoon cycle along country roads, this is another great way to support us while getting active!
It is simple to participate.
- Visit our Hike & Bike event’s page
- Register as a participant
- Set up your own fundraising page with your personal goal
- Send emails from your page to gather sponsors!
- Complete your 5 km activity by Sept. 20th
You can also connect virtually to your family and friends to get support for your participation, or create a team to complete your goal together!
Whether you pull a team together within your social bubble or gather friends, workmates and practice social distancing, it’s a wonderful way to connect and support a great cause outdoors.
We want to take this opportunity thank our community circle of caring for their support. All funds raised will go directly to supporting the programs and services provided by Hospice Waterloo Region in the community, at no charge to individuals, their families and caregivers
MEMORY BOARD
We know that for many people this event plays an important part in remembering, honouring and celebrating the lives of loved ones we have lost, that is why we created “A Time to Remember Memory board. In the past, we have held on-site memorial services and activities. With this year’s virtual event, we are giving participants the opportunity to share a message and/or photo on our online memory board. If you would like to share a special message, quote, and/or photo, we would be pleased to be post it there. Please forward your memorials to [email protected].
