The theme of this year’s Annual Report is New Home. New Look. New Normal. This reflects many of the updates Hospice of Waterloo Region (HWR) is going through in 2020, which now includes an updated look and feel!
We are excited to announce that we’ve launched a new logo and branding for HWR. This fresh look incorporates many of the elements and values of our organization:
- The four overlapping colours – yellow, green, teal and purple – represent the four areas of the region we have served since our inception in 1993: Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and our surrounding rural townships.
- The four colours we’ve chosen are vibrant and communicate a message of interconnected community, hope, and optimism for the future.
As we look towards the future, we do indeed have hope and optimism for the future. Yes, we are living in a time of change, and a new normal. But our mission as an organization to provide “whole person” care, focused on supporting and improving the quality of life for anyone living or dying from an advanced illness, and for those who are bereaved by the loss of a loved one, hasn’t changed. It’s still at the core of what we do, and what we believe.
And as for our new home in north Waterloo, you’ve likely seen pictures of the construction on social media. Stay tuned for more information and updates as we prepare to make the move to this innovative hub for palliative service.
